On 9/15/14 my primary care physician had requested an MRI for a neck injury. He was denied 3 consecutive times by CIGNA.
His best advice was for me to head to the local ER, which I did on 9/17/14. The Physician's Asssitant there recommended that I see a neurosurgeon to determine the nature and extent of the damages in my back, arm and fingers. The PA also ordered a CAT scan which CIGNA denied. The Catch-22 is that you cannot see a specialist without an MRI or CAT.
If I had the resources, I would sue them for failure to deliver service. No one from CIGNA ever called me to discuss my issues or why I wanted an MRI or a CAT.
They make the VA look honourable! This is the new face of terrorism, folks.
