Changed carriers effective 1/1/2017 from CIGNA to another carrier through ATT broker AON. Cigna charged me monthly when I had coverage with another carrier.
I called and spoke to a CIGNA representative who indicated that my coverage date could be changed to 3/31/2017 and she would refund one month but CIGNA would keep the rest unless I filed an appeal with proof of other coverage. I filed an appeal in April 2017 and called again in August for the status. I was told that CIGNA considered the three months and double coverage and would keep my $120. How many people has this happened to?
CIGNA could potentially make millions in unearned monies.i I had planned to return to CIGNA plan in 2018, but will no longer consider CIGNA and plan to warn those who are planning to use CIGNA.
