My husband got an e-mail today at work stating that Cigna was cancelling his insurance as of today along with fifteen other employees. He works for a large company that bought up the company he use to work for.

No other notice, no time to purchase other health insurance, no recommendation on where he can get insurance, just that he along with the others were no longer covered, immediately. The reason was that they just realized!!! that the group of employees Cigna was covering was not large enough. The company he works for has hundreds of employees, but somehow separates them as a group!!

It's been years since having Cigna. Will he get back paid premiums? Isn't there a contract for one year? It is unethical.

What happens if my husband has a medical emergency. Obviously, Cigna does not care.

Ask Cigna who regulates them in your State, it will most probably be the department of Insurance. Call your State legislator and they will assist you in determining this information.

Then you file an immediate complaint do everything in writing. They are abusing people constantly, and only we the people can fix this.

It is not only them but most all insurance companies want to pad their bottom line. This is becoming an epedemic in the United States, and we the people need to stop them.
