Cigna review in Baltimore, Maryland: Waiting to get put on the plan and lack of information

Having to use the insurance in the first time in over two years of paying for it. I found that I could not use the insurance until they put me on a list at the supplier. During the two years of paying for the insurance cigna did not send me any information on how the insurance worked. There was nothing in the literature suppied by my employer. Cigna did not even send a member card until I called them and waited on line over 20 minutes. They also made me feel that I was putting them out for something I have been paying for.

CIGNA is the worst insurance ever. We do not have an in network dentist in our area so when I need a nightgard I called and ask what our benefits were for that service with our dentist. Oh, we will pay 80% and yes I wrote the persons name down that verified this...

CIGNA has not sent disability for lung cancer

I applied for NYS disability on January 10th but have been out of work since December 14th. I have small cell lung cancer and can not work. CIGNA has not even responded to my claim yet and I haven't received a single payment. I had to cancel two doctor appointments because I don't have the money to pay for them. It is now February 18th and I have an appointment with my Oncologist on March 6th. If I don't receive a payment by then I'll have to cancel that appointment also. I am supposed to get another CT scan on the 6th to see if my tumor has shrunk yet. I also have brain radiation appointments that I can not keep. Each doctor's appointment cost me $30 (co-pay) but, without my disability, I can not go to the doctors. What is going on here? I can't even get CIGNA to return my calls.

CIGNA, like most healtcare companies have this thing called contracts with the doctors. The doctors sign the contracts stating that this is how much they will be reimbursed.

If the doctors are not being reimbursed correctly then it is their fault for signing the contract to begin with and for not reading it correctly. Duh.

That comment is nail-on-the-head true. I've been dealing with premium payment issues with Cigna for 4 months now and still haven't gotten a resolve. I have faxed I'm all paperwork and they still refuse to resolve my issue.

Okay so you went to see *** doctors. And how is this the insurance companys fault again?

You dont go to CIGNA to see a doctor, you go to the hospital to see a doctor. Maybe you should have reported those doctors to the medical board.

Insurance companies do not take Xrays or keep them on file. I think you are full of it.
