As a current employee with Cigna, i can tell you what a joke this company is!!!!!! Managers talking about their team members behind their back, playing on facebook, actually underwriters WHO lied about their college backround and they promoted him..... everyone throwing each other under the bus to get to the top. Working for this company, the benifts they offer--- better if you are on welfare. Call in sick, you better be ready to face the firing squad the next time you return. Business if caring, yeah right its all about getting money from the customers and not giving a rats *** about your health just your money....... the ceo travels the world for company visit, spends time in DC. If their employees come down with an illness and takes you out of work, better have a valid reason on why a kidney transplant was needed, if not next day after your transplant you are required to ge back at work or be fired.... they are heartless bastards and all they want is your money. Business of caring, yeah thats a joke..... next time you call cigna, ask them about business if caring meaning or what country the Ceo is visiting..

Cigna review in Stone Mountain, Georgia: I am in the process of petitioning for class action law suit

I am at my wits end with this companies deceitful and crooked practice. They have ripped my life apart while taking my money while unemployed. for 2 years since my accident I maintained a very expensive policy to have procedures covered I got letters of approvals on. After beginning my surgical procedures they kept denying claims, making my physicians jump through hoops, losing documents, have nothing documented in their system and each denial was unrelated to each other or my claim. it's like they literally chose ANY reason to deny the claim that was irrelevant to me. They approved a claim my doctors began surgery. I was to go back and finish the other phases of this procedure and Cigna would not approve. I am stuck with a longterm disability unable to go back to work. I have pins hanging out and can not complete the procedure. My LT disability benefits ran out and I am not making any money, I'm still disabled and Cigna will not pay out. Not only was I not working but they continued to bleed 300 dollars a month out of me for over 2 years and wasted my money while I could have used that toward my procedure. Horrible unethical company! I can not wait to take these guys to court for all the hardship they've caused.

I don't know if I count, but I am a provider who has been waiting to be paid for on a number of claims since February! No matter what I do I cannot get them to reimburse me!

I'm so frustrated I'm ready to just retire and get out of this mess and retire! They owe me hundreds of dollars and I don't know how to get them to pay it!

I have had the same problem with them. They have conveniently "lost" numerous claims I have filed.

I have spend countless hours of my time on the phone with them, faxing and refaxing documents, etc.

I don;t know what to do next. They are the worst.

Any word on how the law suit is going? I was supposed to have COBRA through CIGNA but they have completely screwed me over. They didn't get me the paperwork until right before the initial coverage deadline, then I was required to pay for the initial 2 months of coverage that I didn't have. So I had to pay cash for medications and MD appointments, then pay them for the coverage I never got.

Then I tried to prepay for a 3 month time span - Oct, Nov, Dec. Sent them the check at the end of September, and it was not cashed until 11/26, despite multiple follow up emails to ask them what was going on. Do I get reimbursement for the two months I did not have coverage? NO. Complete ***.

I've been trying to find any information about class action lawsuits - as the bilk you for enough money that it completely screws you over, but not enough to make it worth hiring an attorney individually.....

Cigna LTD Claim Denied Even After SSDI Awarded

I am currently in a legal dispute with Cigna for LTD benefits. They paid for my LTD benefits and then suddenly stopped and never did they have me seen or examined by any of their doctors. I have been awarded SSDI amd still Cigna states I am not disabled. I have an attorney and we will be filling in Federal court against Cigna. It seems to be illegal what they do and I don't understand why more Federal judgements are sanctioned against them. I recently read where they settled a lawsuit in Federal court and now have to go back and review many cases they previously denied. Does anyone think they will really do this? Like they are so reputable, huh?

Cigna review in Fayetteville, North Carolina: I wanted dental and got medical. I need my reimbursement like I was told

I originally applied for dental and got medical. When I called they acted like it had to be an investigation for it to be changed and the rep told me that I would be reinbursed for the funds that were be taken out of my check. I called back a month later and no results just nasty reps with attitudes. I then asked for a supervisor they gave me Porsha,she said she would look into and personally call me back and never did. Today I called because its been 2 months and no results and they can't even find me in the system. I'm a very dissatisfied customer and just want my money back. This was y'all mistake not mine so I shouldn't have to pay for it.

Cigna the anti-enviroment health insurance company

My doctor wrote a prescription for a 90 day supply of pills. When I arrived at the pharmacy, I was told that Cigna limits pills to a 30 day supply & I would have to refill the prescription every month instead of quarterly. So that is 3 times the plastic containers, bags, prescription forms & trips in my car to the pharmacy all because of their environmentally unfriendly policy. I called regarding this policy but they told me "that is the way it is". All I was trying to do was reduce my carbon footprint but Cigna would not allow it. If you care about being a little friendlier to the environment choose another insurance company!

So remember when I told you that Cigna finally paid the claim, well now they have cut off my benefits AGAIN! I have applied for social security disability and my pension, and they told me that I am back at work.

I find that interesting as I am not back at work and had my job send them a verification letter that I am NOT working and sent proof that I will get Social Security disability as well. They said, they will now reduce my check from the amount I am receiving from Social Security. They are always giving me a hard time. Never receive paperwork that you or anyone else sends, lie to my face.

I paid this company for thirteen years out of my paycheck and have only been collecting for two months.

They SUCK! :(

Cigna review: LTD Plays Games at Patient's Expense

After almost a year of legal back & forth - CIGNA LTD finally started paying me! Then the games began... As of 2012 (I was approved in 1995) I have received ONE C.O.L.A. (Cost of Living Adjustment) One. If you check the SSA.gov site there are small increases every year. I am been writing and asking them why no increases. With no response! Although each & every time they put my case on review. A month ago they send me a letter saying they overpaid me by $5K (huh???) and are considering it a "wash" and adjusting my payment. It's not back to where it was in 1998, which if they were doing the simple increases every year like they should have - would be IMPOSSIBLE. I have complained to them, my old employer and the State Insurance Dept. They have to be the most disorganized, messed up and poorly managed LTD company. Or it's on purpose. How long do you think it will take for them to put me on 'review' for questioning their creative accounting?

Cigna review in Coconut Creek, Florida: Totally incompetent

I changed my insurance deductible in March 2013. My new insurance due to be paid online April 1st. When I logged in to Cigna website I saw the wrong amount listed. I called customer service and paid by phone. They promised to correct the mistake.I received several letters confirming my new premium. When I logged in yesterday to pay online I had outstanding bills and they didn't correct the mistake. I called customer service and they told my policy was cancelled for non payment in April. They put me on hold and they can't even help correcting the problem. I'm paying ridiculous amount of money for insurance that doesn't cover almost anything. Not to mention the aggravation with incompetent company like Cigna.

I deal with people like you everyday. you complain abut how cigna doesn't cover anything, this that and the other.

Here is the deal either you or your employer picked out you benefit package.... Not the customer service rep that is unlucky enough to have to talk to you. Now about your premium mix up send in what you signed up for print it if you have to... And also some sort of receipt that you paid it, keep copies for yourself...

Then give it about 10 business days for it to load into the system then give cigna a call...pS don't be a *** to the customer service rep when you call in...

Being a.douche won't help you... And frankly the rep didn't make the mistake.

Sounds like the same employee who ripped off members social security numbers and tried to claim them on his tax returns. Of course he still works there which is laughable.

Dude basically keeps doing these things cause he knows he won't get caught.

No one went to a lawyer cause its pretty tough to prove something if the company erases all the emails once the other person leaves and they will not do anything if it is done off company time/property. Disgusting.
