Cigna provides the worst customer service
I pay $800 a month for insurance through my employer. I am forced to use Cigna's home delivery pharmacy. Every dealing I have with Cigna or the pharmacy turns into an argument. They don't support their clients, they read from a script and they obviously do not care about the patient. They recently refused to fill a Rx at a local pharmacy because I had it filled locally 3 times over 2 years ago. I was leaving town and needed it asap but they refused to help. I left town without my medicine. Then upon arriving home, they had sent me Rx hat I nor the doctor called for a refill (I haven't taken this Rx for over a year), they want me to pay $60 for it and refuse to allow me to return. I have not dealt with such reoccuring poor customer service in my life!

Cigna review in Jackson, Mississippi: Denying claims, incorrect payments
I have repeatedly had problems with cigna, It took the mississippi insurance commission to straighten things out last time (I spent nearly 200 hours of my own time and 11 months trying to fix the mess) and it looks like we are headed there again. In addition they claim they will not make you change doctors (transition of care) when you are in the middle of chemo. They gave me 8 days to find a new doctor between rounds 3 and 4 of chemo. They lie, don't do what they say they are doing, they currently are charging me an office visit for the pathologist (tissue sample sent to the pathologist from an office visit so needs billed under lab and they didn't pay under my lab benefits, they paid under office visit WTF? They are incompetent, frustrating to deal with, don't do what they say they will do. I hate this company. They also called finishing the breast cancer reconstruction "vanity surgery" and refused to pay (there is a federal law requiring them to pay!!!). After almost a year of fighting with them they finally relented on that. The supervisor talks over you and doesn't listen.

CIGNA Changed the drugs they will allow in their Medicare RX formulary
When you are on Medicare you have to review your RX and health insurance providers at the end of each year for the next year. Last November 2012 I logged into the Medicare site, entered my RX drugs then reviewed the suggested providers. CIGNA claimed they covered more of my RXs than any other. I chose them as the most cost effective provider. In January of 2013 they changed their formulary and removed coverage of one of the most expensive drugs. We are required to stay with our provider but they are not required to honor their commitment to you. I will NEVER subscribe to CIGNA again.

I am a former employee who worked for Cigna as an entry level employee in phone are and was terminated because of my openly *** sexuality. My performance was excellent, attitude great, attendance near perfect and motivation high. I was terminated for no reason with proof and not given my due process. I need the help of other openly *** workers wrongfully terminated by Cigna. I say two other openly *** men who were suddenly terminated for no apparent reasons with 6 months of each other. Cigna claims to be diverse in its internal make-up but is not representative of all minorities.

CIGNA is a criminal enterprise that has stolen money from our HRA and denies and delays paying legitimate claims. Since it is employer provided, I have the Dept.
of Labor and the IRS investigating and I urge everyone to do the same. If enough pressure is applied to the corporate lapdog government agencies, they might actually do something about it.

education is essential... its your employer who elects how your benefits are set up.
so its your employer FORCING you to use home delivery, not the insurance company.
believe if you weren't forced to used home delivery your premiums would probably be $1600 a month. and pretty sure either you or your dr had to of ordered the rx, considering they do not automatically fill anything and i'm sure if you called they told you this so either you, a family member ordered it or your dr sent in an rx.
