Cigna review in Kansas City, Kansas: Misconduct of CODE OF ETHICS AND PRINCIPLES OF CONDUCT

On May 15, 2014 at 4:30pm central time, I called Cigna Leave Solutions at (888)842-4462 press option 6 for other questions. My first opinion is that the first lady I talked was should have not answer a question she did not know. Second, I was disconnected from the phone server after she was suppose to transfer me to Gary "my FMLA manger". I had to call a second time at 4:40pm central time. Zoe had answered and said that they (assuming Cigna) had been having phone problems and commented about Rachel's services to me. I guess Rachel is the first lady I talked to. (Gossip much?) Zoe then gave me Gary's phone number and transfer me to Gary. I did not not get through to Gary's phone or his mailbox. I guess it was the phone problems Cigna is having, right? This leads to my third opinion. Cigna Leave Solutions needs to work on their customer services. I did not get an apology for your phone problems at Cigna Leave Solutions. Please follow through your CODE OF ETHICS AND PRINCIPLES OF CONDUCT.

Cigna - Spinal Fusion Review from Manchester, Connecticut

Cigna denied my spinal fusion of L3-L4 & L5-S1 even after a peer to peer review and 19 months of trying other non-evasive procedures to relieve extreme pain, inability to sit longer than 15 -20 mins without numbness and increased pain, inability to walk for 15 mins.

I am in the exact same boat you are in and from what I read this afternoon in a letter written to Cigna regarding their approval process for any type of lumbar surgery, we will never get our surgery. Unless you can prove that you have instability in you spine, via x-rays, of over 4 mm then you are never going to be approved.

I have now contacted 13 different attorneys to see who is willing to take them on and I plan on suing them for the physical and emotional distress they have put me and my family through. Good Luck with your fight!!!

Picks Disiese diagnosed from 3 neurologist , CIGNA 'needs more information' !!

As stated, can't work due to progressive Picks Disiese, and CIGNA rep has told me they need more definition of of the Disiese.... My 'case manager' does nothing more than say she has to go see her supervisor about this, then calls back and states the claim is still on hold until further information is received. I have sent my (3) doctors notes every time I go see them, and they all say the same thing; no work, no driving, needs to be monitored during all daily activity! Absolutely no compassion from this company, seems they are only interested in delaying claims as long as possible trying to starve you out. I can't believe I have paid for this insurance for over 25 years! EMPLOYERS: Run away from this company as fast as you can. Lawsuits are coming, as for many of us, these practices only exasterbate the problem. This is criminal forced financial hardship.

Your doctor need's to send more than(3)Doctor's note's as stated by the insurance company. What doctor send's notes to a insurance company and Expect to be paid for note's.He/She has to send a detailed report as to what this disease is.I mean come on now,What insurance company is going to pay for something that is unknown to the insurance company?Evidently your doctor does not no what he/she is doing.Other wise it would not be a problem to send the insurance company detailed documentation as to what your illness is.It is not the insurance companies fault,It is your doctor's fault for the insurance company not paying for your illness.Duh

Cigna Claim

Cigna review in Vernon, Connecticut: Customer service reps don't have a clue!

This is the second time I have had to pay a claim because of false information given by Cigna's customer service reps. I always call to be sure my doctors are in network and that certain procedures will be covered. The first time I was told a medical facility to go to for care while on vacation and ended up paying because the facility was not in network. This second time I had a supervisor helping me and he told me this doctor was in network and they would be paying my claim. Come to find out that was incorrect and I had to pay the bill again! All I got was that they were sorry for the incorrect information! Well sorry doesn't pay the bill! They do not take responsibility for their own employees! This was all documented on their system but still they were just sorry! They just let anyone answer the phone there! Very bad service!

CIGNA is notorious for this. I have cases where my providers are listed as "IN NETWORK" on MyCigna and they still have schemes for placing the claim "Out of network".

They usually say the provider filed the claim wrong. I've caught CIGNA'S Customer service people in a web of LIES on this one topic numerous times just in the last 3 months!

Cigna review in Boston, Massachusetts: Denied multiple medical claims.

This is the worst possible medical insurance company to choose. Customer service people just beat around the bush, leaving you confused and unanswered. Unfortunately my employer has reached to the bottom of the barrel with Cigna. They denied me of MRI coverage for head and chest, I couldn't use use my health spending account of $300 dollars of money I put in over the past year. Tried to use at 5 different acceptable medical office and denied. I wonder why I even pay these bastards. They will take you money. It's better not to have any insurance than to pay these evil corporate thieves. Avoid Cigna healthcare at all cost

*ALL* group disability policies will have an offsets section and nearly every policy I've reviewed deducts social security retirement. It's income.

doesn't matter if it's earned or not.

Policies offset for court settlements, pensions, and in many cases, vacation/sick pay or other payments. Essentially, if you having other sources of income, this will be deducted.
